I was hoping you guys good help me with a quick question. When you turn on your headlights, you know how there are 3 settings on the switch, OFF....middle setting....Then the setting where the main headlights are on. Well the middle setting, when the headlights turn on but are dim...aren't the parking lights supposed to come on also. And then when the headlights on normally, aren't the parking lights supposed to be on too? The parking lights come on when i turn on my turn signals....but don't come on any other times. Is that normal? Or am I just really confusing everyone?

With the switch in the middle position on my 2003, the running lights(Parking lights) front and rear come on.
And of course they are also on with the full power headlights! Not sure why yours are not coming on? f1guy68's Current Mods include:

When I pull into a parking spot in a residential area, I don't like to shine my headlights into peoples' windows. The parking lights don't seem to do any good in the dark.

What we need is more powerful fog Lamps. I have the 80 Watt yellows and they are barely there. Next time I will try the 80 Watt whites.
Of course you need to wire the fogs to work independently of the low beams. See the DIY section Elantrick's 2004 Tidal Wave Blue GT
With 16" RS Limited Limix wheels, Falken GRB, FK-451 205/50/16 tires, 19.2 Sway bar, Shark Adjustable Short shifter with lifted frame, 80 watt yellow Foglamps independant of the Low beams and Euro antenna. Seattle, Washington ![]() |

The parking lights shouldn't be used to see anyway. You should use the headlights. Now if they should be good enough for parking, I doubt it...
On a side note, the 01-03 parking lights to me makes the car more visible with its definative light, where as the 04-05 parking light makes you wonder what's there. ![]() |
