I couldn't figure out where to place the cross over but thanks to Southpaw I was able to git er done.

I hade a set of Orion Xtreme 6.5 components lying around still new from a few years back and figured I'd put em in.

These can be had on eBay fairly cheap these days and they sound really good. Nothing like the Diamond Audio's in my Tib but hey this is "her" car.

Do speakers work better or sound better in cold weather?

I find that my speakers in the GT handle more and sound better when the car is freaking freezing inside!

Any validity to this, or is it my imagination?

With all the hi end speaker considerations, a 5 channel amp (and perhaps a small sub woofer LATER) have become part of the equation..

I'm not too fond of giving up my GT's hatch space for an amp dead smack in the middle of the trunk, blocking the folding rear seats from being any use..

Anyway when I first installed it I had no problems, but now there seems to be a buzz coming from the dash near the head unit (not from the speakers). I'm still nitpicking the accoustic set up for the rear.. I really didn't like the way the rear hatch speakers were just on an open cavity right above the shock towers.. The GT Club has a DIY to mount the speakers on the hatch's rear deck..
